I have taken over charge of this Bank as Chairman on 20th June, 2011.
Our Bank was established with a view to provide banking services mainly in rural areas and to provide hassle free financial assistance particularly to small marginal farmers, landless laborers and other weaker section. Now for diversification and emerging needs of the area we are providing financial assistance to SME and services sector in rural, semi-urban and urban sector also. We started our services to the clients in 4 districts covered by our Bank in the far flung un-banked areas. From beginning we are having close relationship with our clientele. The measure of relationship with customers is always based on quality and commitment of service. We, at Nainital-Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank are committed on quality of service to our customers with local feel. Satisfied customers are the main capital of our institution.

For better services we have converted all our branches into CBS by the end of March, 2011 taking into consideration the needs of our clientele.  We are now moving towards introduction of new technology based services e.g. RTGS/NEFT/Debit Card etc.

We have opened -3- branches in the month of March, 2011 named Dharanaula(Almora), Lalkuan and Someshwar for services to the public of un-banked area in the operational area allotted to our Bank. We are on the way to open -4- branches by the end of September, 2011 and further -2- branches by the end of March, 2012 according to the Branch expansion policy of Govt. of India.

We have to increase our client base, market share and strengthen the institution to serve our customers in a better way. For this purpose we have taken many steps e.g. agreement with ICICI Bank for issuance of cheques on centers outside from our area of operation and cheque collection facilities, agreement with National Insurance Co. Ltd. for general insurance facilities, agreement with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co.Ltd. for Immediate Life Insurance of customers scheme named “Gramin Bank Tatkal Bima Yojna”, In addition we have arrangements with New India Assurance Co.Ltd., for free of cost accidental insurance of Rs. 50,000/- for all our Savings Bank account and Kisan Credit Card holders.   For the mutual benefit of our customers and bank, we have entered into agreement for financing of various products of   M/s Maruti Udyog Ltd., M/s Tata Motors Ltd., M/s Hero Honda, M/s International Tractors Ltd., M/s Premiur Ltd., and M/s Force Motors Ltd. 

In continuation to extend the facilities we have launched this website to facilitate our customers and general public to know about the bank, its banking services and various loan and deposit products. We hope that this website is useful for public in general and our customers in particular to help them about the banking, its facilities, as per their requirements in better way and make them aware about other general information of the banking system. 
We have published our results for the financial year 2010-11 in the News Papers and have loaded in the website of the Bank.  It is a matter of pleasure for our customers and staff that the bank is growing year over year and is on sound footing.

We are thankful to our customers for giving us an opportunity to serve them and hope that their faith and co-operation will remain with us. We once again assure for best services from our end. Our Motto is “Service to customers with technology and human touch.”
