Our Bank was established with a view to provide banking services mainly in rural areas and to provide hassle free financial assistance particularly to small marginal farmers, landless laborers and other weaker section. Now for diversification and emerging needs of the area we are providing financial assistance to SME and services sector in rural, semi-urban and urban sector also. We are serving to the clients in 4 districts covered by our Bank in the far flung unbaked areas. From beginning we are having close relationship with our clientele. The measure of relationship with customers is always based on quality and commitment of service. We, at Nainital-Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank are committed on quality of service to our customers with local feel. Satisfied customers are the main capital of our institution.
We have to increase our client base, market share and strengthen the institution to serve our customers in a better way. For this purpose we have taken many steps e.g. agreement with ICICI Bank for issuance of cheques on centers outside from our area of operation and cheque collection facilities, agreement with National Insurance Co. Ltd. for general insurance facilities, agreement with Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co.Ltd. for Immediate Life Insurance of customers scheme named “Gramin Bank Tatkal Bima Yojna”, agreement with Life Insurance Corporation of India for Life Insurance purpose. In addition we have arrangements with New India Assurance Co.Ltd., for free of cost accidental insurance of Rs. 50,000/- for all our Savings Bank account and Kisan Credit Card holders. For the mutual benefit of our customers and bank, we have entered into agreement for financing of various products of M/s Maruti Udyog Ltd., M/s Tata Motors Ltd., M/s Hero Honda, M/s International Tractors Ltd., M/s Premiur Ltd., and M/s Force Motors Ltd.
There are villages which are still out of reach of banks. To bring the villages in the fold of banking and to facilitate them we have engaged "Zero Mass Foundation " Mumbai. as Business Correspondents. They are using Mobile Phone based technology and issuing Smart Cards to open and operate Savings Bank accounts. This scheme is launched in the area of our Bheedapani Branch in District Nainital and shortly being launched in the area of our Jageshwar Branch in District Almora.
In the present globalize environment with dynamic market demands our customers are also eager to co-op with the market. They are also in need of modern technology based services. They also want that their bank must be equipped with new generation banking facilities. We have to facilitate our customers in shaping up their banking needs. Keeping in view the needs we have computerized all our branches. We are preparing for introducing Core Banking Solution (CBS) system very shortly as per the schedule of Government of India.
In continuation to extend the facilities we are launching this website to facilitate our customers and general public to know about the bank and its banking services and various loan and deposit products. We hope that this website will help the public in general and our customers in particular about the banking, its facilities, as per their requirements in better way and make them aware about other general information of the banking system.
